Bicycle facilities
The most beautiful ''cycling facility'' remains, of course, the beautiful, rolling Geul valley. A true cycling mecca for all types of cyclists. But in addition, Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof has invested heavily in specific facilities for the still growing group of racing cyclists, mountain bikers and touring cyclists. We can therefore proudly say that we are the cycling paradise of South Limburg!
Lockable bicycle racks
In the park are in several places beautiful, covered and lockable bike sheds created. In these sheds are also charging points for electric bicycles and brackets to secure the bicycles even more. This facility is entirely free.
Private bicycle lockers
Many of our visitors even like to secure their mountain bike, racing bike or (electric) bicycle in a safe. Therefore, there are special private bicycle safes for rent. One bike locker can accommodate 2 mountain bikes, 2 racing bikes or 1 electric bike. More information and prices can be found at the reception.
Bicycle cleaning station
With this machine you can wash and rinse your bicycle and inflate your bicycle tyres. Your racing bike, mountain bike or gravel bike will be ready in no time for another ride through the Limburg hills. The service is free for guests, paying for passersby.
Free use of bicycle tools
As an official ANWB Bicycle Service Point, you can make use of the ANWB Bicycle Service Box containing special bicycle tools and repair materials. The use of the tools is free and for the repair material, a small fee is asked, so that we can replenish the Bike Service Box.
Cycling routes
Various free cycling and walking routes are available at the reception desk. In addition, there are also several official cycling and walking route maps of the area for sale. We are also happy to inform you about the routes you can follow directly from our park.
Bike rental
We have new bicycles for hire for the bicycle enthusiast. You can rent an E-bike, an Electric cargo bike, a mountain bike or a unisex bike with 7 gears as well as child seats. You will find the bicycle rental next to the reception.
Laundry
Especially after a day of "muddling" on the mountain bike, it is great if you can wash and dry those dirty cycling clothes right away for the next day. This is possible, because De Mechelerhof has large washing machines and dryers. You can buy the necessary coins and detergent at the reception.
