When are the arrival times?

The arrival times are from 15:00 to 17:00. If you wish to arrive earlier you can book an early check-in subject to availability. If you expect to arrive later than 17:00, please contact reception. We can then put the key of your holiday home in a safe deposit box for you. Reception can be reached at 0031 43 455 22 22 or by e-mail

Will there be a deposit on arrival?

No deposit is required for your stay in a holiday home. However, we do ask you to sign a one-off direct debit form in the amount of €150 in the unlikely event that something should still be charged. In that case we can settle this with a one-time direct debit. Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof assumes that you will leave your holiday home in a tidy condition after your stay.

Is there a children’s bed, high-chair or playpen available?

Children’s furniture is not present in the holiday home. However, we have them available at your disposal and you can add these to your reservation. You can book a child's bed including bed linen or a child's chair. If you wish to make use of a stair gate, it is possible to pick one up on loan at the reception.

Are non-smoking accommodations available?

All our holiday homes are non-smoking.

Is it possible to park my car alongside the holiday home?

Buitenplaats de Mecherhof is a car-free park. On arrival and departure you can park your car at the farmhouse to load or unload your luggage. At each farmhouse there are luggage trolleys with which you can bring your luggage to the house. You can then park your car in the central car park. For disabled guests there is a possibility to park in the vicinity of the holiday home. Please ask for a special parking card at the reception. All other vehicles must be parked in the central car park.

Is there a laundry in the park?

During your stay at Buitenplaats De Mechelerhof, you can use the launderette daily from 9:00 to 21:00. You will find the launderette, when you stand in front of the reception, on the left-hand side next to the reception. There is a washing machine and a dryer. Tokens for the machines can be bought at the reception. The washing powder is ready for you at the washing machine.

Are there accommodations suitable for the disabled?

There are no specific holiday homes for disabled people. There are, however, several holiday homes with only a ground floor. You can select these when booking (choose ground floor). Ask our reception about the possibilities. We are happy to provide tailor-made solutions to make your stay more pleasant.

I would like to invite guests during my stay, is that allowed?

Your visitors are most welcome at Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof. If your guests are staying overnight, please sign them in before closing time at the reception desk. Your guests will pay government taxes and the bed linen package.

Is the holiday home equipped with a ‘Nespresso’ or with a regular coffee machine?

You make your coffee with an ordinary coffee machine. Please think about your coffee filter bags. These are also available at the reception. The premium holiday homes are additionally equipped with a Nespresso or Lavazza machine. The cups are available at the reception.

Is there an Internet connection available in the park?

There is a wifi connection available for park guests. This connection is free of charge, but is not always suitable for uploading and downloading very large files, films or large photos when there are many guests on our holiday park. Please try to take this into account, so that we can all enjoy a good connection.

Are pets allowed in the holiday homes?

In the surroundings of Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof you can take your dog for a lovely walk. We therefore understand if you want to take your pet with you on your holiday in South Limburg. In a number of holiday homes, pets are allowed. The other holiday homes are pet-free. The costs are € 7,- per pet per night. When you bring a pet, there is also a cleaning charge of € 14,- per accommodation.

Are there dishwashers and/or microwave ovens in the holiday homes?

There is a dishwasher and a microwave in all holiday homes. You will receive 2 dishwasher tablets upon arrival in your holiday home.

What are the departure times?

On the day of departure you should leave your holiday home by 10:00 at the latest and return the key to reception. Would you like to stay a little longer or only leave at the end of the day? Ask at reception for the possibilities of a late check-out (departure before 12:00) or a Lazy (Sun)day (departure before 17:00).

How should I leave the holiday home at departure?

You should leave your holiday home swept clean, take the rubbish out, do the washing up, take the beds off and put the bed linen in the hall, clear the fridge, switch it off and leave it open and put the (garden) furniture back in its proper place.

When do I have to pay the invoice?

You need to make a down payment of 50% 2 weeks after booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 4 weeks before arrival by bank. If you have booked within 2 weeks of your arrival, you will have to pay the reservation amount at once. There is a payment link in your booking confirmation.

Do I receive a receipt?

You will receive a confirmation email when your payment has reached us. When you pay via the payment link in the booking confirmation you will receive this mail within an hour. If you pay by bank transfer you will receive the payment confirmation within 2 working days.

What do I need to specify when paying?

There is a payment link in your booking confirmation, the easiest way is to use this link. If you pay us by bank transfer, please state the reference number that was stated in the booking confirmation. You will find this reference under the payment link.

Can I manage my own booking?

In your booking confirmation you will receive a link to Here you can view your booking, make payments and, for example, add items or change the number of people.

Can I make a reservation with a preference for a specific holiday home?

During the booking process you can select a holiday home number on the park map. You will pay € 25.00 for preference. Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof reserves the right to offer a comparable accommodation if a serious malfunction or calamity occurs, resulting in the unavailability of the desired holiday home. Of course, in such a case, the preferential costs will be refunded.

Is it possible to take an option on a reservation?

It is possible to take an option on a reservation. The option period depends on the arrival date and is a maximum of 7 days. We ask you to confirm or cancel the option within the agreed period or within a maximum of 7 days. After 7 days your option is automatically converted into a definite booking. Last minute bookings, i.e. 14 days before an arrival date, do not allow for option bookings.

I have not yet received a confirmation, what should I do?

In case you have not received a confirmation by e-mail within 24 hours after making an online booking, we kindly ask you to notify us by telephone or e-mail. We will then take care of sending your confirmation. Please always check your SPAM-box to be sure. Incidentally, e-mail programs put a confirmation in SPAM.

If you have booked by telephone, and you have not received a confirmation by e-mail or post after booking, we kindly ask you to make this known by telephone or e-mail. We will then take care of sending your confirmation.

How can I cancel my reservation?

If you made a reservation directly at Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof (online, by phone or e-mail) you can only cancel in writing. You can do this via our contact page. Always mention the booking number.

When you cancel, you will have to pay a fee to Buitenplaats de Mechelerhof. This fee amounts to

  • in case of cancellation more than three months before the starting date, 15 % of the agreed upon price;
  • in case of cancellation between three and two months before the starting date, 50% of the agreed upon price;
  • in case of cancellation within two to one month before the commencing date, 75% of the agreed price
  • in case of cancellation within one month before the commencing date, 90% of the agreed price
  • in case of cancellation on the day of the commencement date, 100% of the agreed price.

For the cancellation conditions we also refer to the general terms and conditions. If you have booked via an external booking channel or travel agency, you must cancel your stay there.

Can I change my holiday after booking?

You can change your booking up to 28 days before your arrival date. However, there must be another accommodation available, the new period must be in the same year and the rental price of your booking must remain the same or increase. If the altered booking is more expensive, you will have to pay the difference.
